Q&A function

When a teammate asked a question and assigned it to you or a channel that you belong to, you will receive a notification on Slack with the below options: Create a new Page as the answer  (either use the "Quick answer" button to create a new Page quickly via a Slack dialog or use the "Create new Page" button to use our web editor if you need rich text formatting)  Use an existing Kipwise Page as the answer Reassign  the question A. Using the Quick answer button  If your answer is short and you don't need rich text formatting, you can use the Quick answer button to answer the question directly via a Slack dialog.  This will essentially create a new Kipwise Page as the answer for the question. You can select which folder to put this Page into and modify the title if needed.  B. Using the Create new Page button Choose this option if you need more formatting options or insert rich media as it will bring you to our web editor for you to create a new Page as the answer.  The title text will be prefilled by the question. When you have done editing the content, click " Publish Page & notify requester ".  C. Using the Use existing Page button Choose this option if there is already an existing Kipwise Page that can answer the question. Then you will be able to search for the Page that you would like to use as the answer and add a remark (e.g. you can refer to point xx) if needed.  D. What will happen after you answered the question?  After you submitted the answer, the person who created or reassigned the question to you will receive a Slack notification with your answer.  Related help desk articles How to create a question

Couldn't find the information you need on Kipwise? Our Q&A function allows you to ask your teammates questions and the Q&A will be saved to Kipwise automatically when your teammate answered. Overtime, Kipwise can learn from your questions to improve search accordingly.  A. How to ask a question  1. When you cannot find the results you need Other than the above method, whenever you perform a search on web / Slack, there will be a  Ask a teammate  button at the bottom of the search result so you can create a question easily if you cannot find the information that you are looking for.  Read more about  How to create a question .  2. You can create a question via the web platform or via Slack.  A. Ask a question on Web  There are 2 ways you can ask a question on Kipwise web platform.  1. Via the  Ask teammates  button at the bottom of search results  2. Use the  Ask Question  button on the sidebar  B. Ask a question on Slack  There are also 2 ways to ask a question on Slack.  1. Via the  Ask a teammate button  at the bottom of search results  When you perform a search on Slack ( Searching for Kipwise Content on Slack ) using the slash command /kipwise search [keywords]  and didn't get the result you are looking for. You can use the Ask a teammate button to create a question.  The question will be prefilled with your search term and you can further modify it.  2. In any channel or direct message, use the  /kipwise ask  slash command and a dialog will pop up for you to create the question Simply fill the your question, pick the teammate / channel that you want to assign this question to and add your remarks.  Please note you can only assign a questions to  public  channels / teammates who are members of Kipwise.  C.
